The new PC Industry range of electronic lighting control gear from TridonicAtco offers high reliability for T5 and T8 fluorescent lamps in the most demanding of applications. Designed specifically for use in industrial environments, these robust ballasts are able to withstand wide temperature variations, voltage bursts and surges, steam, dust and vibration while providing long, maintenance-free life.Offering an operational life of up to 100,000 hours at temperatures up to 60°C, the control gear is designed to match the expected life of the luminaires it is installed in. In providing ongoing lamp maintenance and protection, the ballasts also extend the life of the lamps, thus extending re-lamping cycles and reducing maintenance costs. This is a particularly important consideration in industrial environments where access to lighting is often difficult and disruptive.
The ballasts will also withstand voltage peaks up to 4kV and feature TridonicAtco's Intelligent Voltage Guard for added protection against under voltage and over voltage. Intelligent Voltage Guard ensures that if the operating voltage falls below 150V the lamp circuit will be switched off to prevent damage. If the operating voltage exceeds 300V the ballast will cause the lighting to flash on and off, signalling that the mains should be shut off and the problem rectified.
PC Industry ballasts are available for use with 36W and 58W T8 and 49W, 54W and 80W T5 lamps.
