Havells Sylvania, the leading global designer and supplier of lighting systems, has set new standards for GU10 mains voltage halogen lamps, with the launch of the Hi-Spot Superia ECO.Offering double the output of previous models, it uses only 30% of the energy, is dimmable down to 0% and can run directly off the mains with no transformer installations required.
Additionally, the 35W lamp is the equivalent of the company's old 50W product, while the new 50W model provides the same output as the 75W lamp it's replacing. The new lamps also require only 1,200cd in comparison to the previous standard of 2,000.
Compared to the current standard of 50W and 2,000 candela for GU10 lamps, the Hi-Spot Superia ECO delivers an astonishing 35W and 1,200 candela.

The Hi-Spot Superia ECO not only delivers this, but does so in a manner that will redefine industry standards."
The product enhancements also include beam and light quality and ease of use. Its optimised spiralled reflector optics and compact capsule design ensure perfect beam control, while its stippled lens delivers perfect beam uniformity. The crispness of the lamp's light has been improved through enhanced colour rendering, which enables it to reproduce the natural colour of every object.
Meanwhile, Havells Sylvania's GU10 twist and lock base and the inclusion of finger grips on the curved lens make installation and re-lamping easier than ever before. The enhanced product's appeal has been extended even further due to it being designed with the same external dimensions as the company's existing Hi-Spot ES50 products to ensure it can be retro-fitted in any situation.
