Megaman has launched a totally new concept in emergency lighting; a fully integrated Emergency Pack for use in conjunction with the company's integral compact fluorescent lamps. The pack incorporates an emergency module, batteries and an LED indicator to provide a reliable and easy to connect system. The emergency pack operates on maintained or non-maintained systems and provides 3 hour emergency lighting at near full illumination. The system has automatic detection for mains switch ON/OFF status to avoid mis-matching and provides emergency switching to DC standby power. Available in 7 – 9W and 11 – 13W, Megaman's Emergency Pack has a compact 55mm diameter that will fit through most downlighter cut-outs, whilst allowing discreet installation that will not interfere with the interior décor. For increased safety, the batteries are contained within fire proof, intumescent material.
Megaman's Emergency Pack has been designed for use with the company's palm sized GX53 lamps and the popular GU10 lamps, which provide a low energy, direct replacement for halogen spotlight. It can also be used in conjunction with the AR111 lamp, the world's first reflector with narrow beam optics which radiate a powerful ray - but without the heat aspect associated with halogen lamps. All Megaman lamps have an operating life of some 7½ times longer than halogen and provide energy savings of up to 80%, whilst offering low maintenance costs
