Mike Stoane Lighting worked closely with Simpson & Brown Architects to develop this custom exterior fitting for Forth Ports. The fittings illuminate the boardwalk which runs alongside Newhaven Harbour and also provide light to the outside tables of the new Loch Fyne Oyster Bar.The lamp is a 35w MR16 IRC in an exterior rated housing based on Mike Stoane Lighting's Frog IP66 rated spot. Light is reflected off a 300mm diameter marine grade stainless steel reflector that is adjustable and locks securely enough to withstand the wind in the harbour. All the components are either 316 grade marine stainless steel or aluminium which has been both anodized and powder coated to keep corrosion at bay.
The fitting integrates seamlessly with the posts that were designed by the architects as part of the boardwalk and creates a soft, glare free, indirect light ideal for eating your chilled Lobster outside on a summers evening.
