Decade from Concord:marlin is a new concept in recessed 600x600 fluorescents. It offers a new tool for discerning designers by providing a blank canvas of light or ‘light box' to customise and create individual pieces of art. Simple photographs, logos and patterns can be displayed on the front diffuser upon request, whilst coloured lamps or gels can be used to create exciting effects and washes of colour. Ideal for bars and restaurants, retail environments or high spec offices, Decade can be easily used to complement and create eye catching, bespoke interiors and themes, whilst still providing a degree of general lighting. A simple ‘light box' version, with flat satin diffuser, can be used to provide high output ambient lighting whilst the innovative gimbal version, incorporating two central gimbals, supplies both ambient and accent lighting from one installation point. Central gimbals are available in low voltage AR111, high-output BriteSpot ES111 or CMI/CDM-T light sources in a wide range of beams and can be switched separately from the main housing.
All versions use 4 x 24w energy efficient lamps with high frequency gear and achieve high LOR's of over 60%. Decade's attractive satin polycarbonate diffuser ensures even light distribution, without visibility of lamps or dark spots, and is hinged for ease of access during routine maintenance and re-lamping.
Available as a plaster edge version for seamless integration into ceilings and walls or as a lay-in version for 600x600 grid ceilings, a surface mounting box accessory is also available. The surface mounting box can also be used in combination with wire or rod suspensions to create pendants, providing a solution for spaces with high ceilings.
