A new range of lighting connection products will provide electrical contractors with additional solutions and help them save time on commercial and industrial installations, according to the manufacturers.The flex 7 extender range from Flex Connectors consists of 3-core to 7-core single and twin extender leads, panel mount plugs & sockets and flexible multi-circuit interconnection units to create a flexible, modular connection system.
All products in the extender range are 16 amp rated and feature the unique flex 7 interface. This can accommodate complex building layouts by plugging together interconnection units, control devices and luminaires with single and twin extender leads, as required.
The single extender lead, combined with a panel mount plug, eliminates the need to hard-wire leads to luminaires, resulting in increased flexibility of installation and reducing time and cost on site. The double extender combines the versatility of an extender and ‘T' connector in a single product, halving the plug & socket connections at each lighting node compared to a traditional ‘T' connector combination and dramatically reducing the potential for faults.
The extender range is part of the flex 7 interconnection system, which also includes hub units, 7-pole single sockets, first-in-line units and modular chains. Because the system is factory produced, fully tested and individually tailored, it eliminates the uncertainty of on-site interpretation and minimises wastage and re-working.
