Officelyte by Concord:marlin is a recessed 600x600mm luminaire, which combines a unique mix of function and aesthetics. Designed to meet the competitive demands of the market place, Officelyte provides the answer to lighting commercial working environments. The Concord:marlin design team took into account the crucial issues of lighting the working plane, reducing glare and reflecting light onto the ceiling to develop this single luminaire solution that eliminates the need for intrusive ‘hanging baskets'. Despite only breaking the ceiling plane by 50mm, Officelyte still achieves 30% of the task plane illuminance on the surrounding ceiling, and 50% on walls, in a typical office environment.
The materials used to create Officelyte add to its clean appearance and, instead of a louvre, the centre of the luminaire features a flat diffusing panel, covered with 6,500 low-glare conical prisms, that guarantees maximum transmittance with no visual discomfort. The innovative lighting-transmitting satin polycarbonate ‘wings', with their linear prismatic outer edge, project light out across the ceiling.
Officelyte units are easy to install and maintain making them ideal for speculative office spaces. Electrical connections are made via a simple push-in connector terminal block on the rear of the fitting, which can be through-wired for multiple installations. Finally, the diffuser wings click in and out of the body, with a simple mechanical latch, for ease of cleaning.
