In 2005, the brand and business unit Eyeleds® was launched. Eyeleds® stands for an innovative and new solution in decorative floor lighting, which has become a great international success. The well-designed, robust and ultra-flat (6.5mm) fittings can be easily installed by a floor fitter into any floor with a thickness of 7mm or more, and conform to the normal standards. In addition to the shallow fitting depth and the ease of installation, the low energy use and the long life span (100,000 hours) are unique. Partially due to this success and also due to the large demand for more colours, Eyeleds® has developed the ColorEYE®. The latter innovation perfectly fits the existing range of Eyeleds® products, and of course also meets the quality standards such as VDE and IP67. It is unique in the fact that its installation conforms to normal standards.
The ColorEYE® is available in two versions: the 'ColorStop' and the 'Programmable ColorEYE®'. The 'ColorStop' version cycles through the entire colour palette (16.7 million) in around 10 minutes and can easily be set to the colour you require using the on/off switch. This system is exceptional in its simplicity and does not need complicated manuals or instructions. Just Plug and Play!
The programmable "ColorEYE® Pro" takes things a step further, allowing the user to use an 8-button switch with built-in sequencer to mix each colour from the rainbow gamma, including white. This is an intuitive way of controlling light that has been a great success.
There are also two built-in programs that control the 'ColorEYE® Pro' fittings: the "Rainbow" changes the colour of the LED Color fittings to all the colours of the rainbow in turn and the colorsweep changes the colour of the entire Eyeleds® chain using a pulse, a program that will definitely draw a lot of attention. The 'ColorEYE® Pro' can be connected to EIB and DMX and is often supplied to the project market.
As such, the applications of the ColorEYE® vary from simple, consumer focused applications to complicated EIB/DMX controlled projects. This way they are perfect for drawing attention, for accentuating a business colour or for illustrating the mood of a building or area.
