Life is an innovative new range of luminaires from Whitecroft Lighting that has been designed to simulate the appearance of skylights and provide daylight conditions in any environment. There are two basic elements to the Life range, Life Q and Life L, which can be used independently or combined to create a dramatic visual impact. Life P takes the Life series into another dimension by providing a unique outdoor effect through natural sky scenes.Life P is a square module, feature lighting system with a printed image diffuser that creates the sensation of a skylight overhead, offering views of blue skies and trees. There are five 'overhead view' options, all of which give the impression of daylight flooding in through a skylight and bringing the outdoors inside. This variation of Life has also been designed to integrate into standard suspended ceilings and can be configured to create blocks of light. All Life luminaires utilise a Tp(a) diffuser to prevent visibility of the lamps.
Life P is particularly suitable for hospitals for use in treatment areas where no natural view is present in order to provide a pleasant environment for patients with long term treatment programmes. Studies have indeed shown that patient recovery is much better in a warm and welcoming environment. Life P can also be used for dental and medical practices but also in commercial, educational and retail environments.
