With power consumption on the hit list of most political agendas this year, everyone is taking note of how to power more efficiently.Low Voltage lighting is nothing new, in fact it's a simple concept. However, getting a reliable fitting that doesn't burn your hand off when you touch it is another and for those wanting to use lighting for your landscapes it's a concern finding the right light.
"Everyone who spends time on their garden enjoys showing it off" says Phil Martin, MD of PLM. "But it's costly and environmentally inept to use high power lighting for domestic applications. Using LED low voltage lights ensures lower power consumption, and when using cold fittings, energy efficient."
PLM are the ones who should know. With over 40,000 of their UniLED cold fitting LED deck and paver lights sold just in the UK they know what not to use when it comes to your garden.
"If you like your plants, you don't want them burnt!" says Claire Brown Communications Officer at PLM, "using cold fittings allows effective lighting of your outdoor space, making features of the most precious of plants. We have developed the UniLED range to be safe for use around plants and flowers as well as pets and children, whilst also being kind to the environment".
