Ventronic is the new and innovative dimmable electronic ballast for High Wattage HID light sources that allows optimum energy efficiency through daylight linking, timer, or occupancy sensor, as well as a number of additional advanced features that improve performance and lamp life.With Ventronic, users of HID lighting are able to achieve the energy saving and performance benefits traditionally associated with fluorescent lighting. Suitable for use with high pressure sodium and Venture Metal Halide light sources, Ventronic allows lamps to be dimmed in response to natural daylight levels – manually, automatically through light sensors or at pre-programmed times. It can also be linked to PIR sensors to link lamp operation to occupancy.
Ventronic's Resonant Start is 'kind' to electrodes so that switching frequency does not affect lamp life or cause the arc tube blackening associated with conventional control gear, thus resulting in longer lamp life and greater lumen maintenance.
Furthermore, Ventronic's sophisticated lamp ignition algorithm has the added ability to ignite and correctly operate very old lamps which would not be possible with conventional control gear.
Longer lamp life and improved lumen maintenance is also achieved with Ventronic, as the Optimum Electrode Temperature is reached much faster, with a typical warm up time of 30-40 seconds compared to the 2-3 minutes of conventional control gear.
The high operating frequency of Ventronic totally eliminates lamp flicker to such an extent that it supports the use of high speed camera filming, including CCTV, whilst Ventronic's high performance regulation maintains outstanding colour uniformity at any dimming level.
Ventronic is unaffected by Unstable Voltage because, by regulating the power to the lamp, it achieves optimum lamp performance with supply voltages ranging from 185V to 254V. Furthermore, in the event of an interruption to the mains supply, the lamp remains fully stable for up to three full cycles.
Maintenance is greatly simplified with Ventronic, through enhanced self-diagnostics and error reporting, using a built-in LED indicator to provide detailed information about both circuit status and failure conditions. Remote communications options allow real time reporting of circuit and lamp status.
And if this is not enough, Ventronic is lightweight and completely silent, has no start-up current and its IP43 heat dissipating metal case ensures exceptional reliability.
