February saw the launch of the unique Command Classroom Pack modular control and wiring concept from Whitecroft Lighting. Designed specifically for use in the classroom environment, Command Classroom Pack consists of a box containing a control module, a sensor for daylight, presence and absence detection and all of the cabling required to 'daisy chain' the luminaires and link switch and sensor. The main benefit of Command Classroom Pack is that it reduces installation costs by allowing a classroom application that requires daylight linking or presence detection to be installed rapidly by unskilled labour via 'plug and play'.
Intended for use with Whitecroft's Cascade TSI luminaires, which can be supplied complete with T-connectors. Command Classroom Pack is designed to be flexible offering presence/absence, on/off switching with standard luminaries and in addition daylight linking when used with DSI Digital dimming luminaries.
Whilst this product was primarily designed to offer a solution to those looking to reduce installation costs in schools, it would also be suitable for small office applications.
