Fled offers an effective and discrete approach to emergency lighting

Fled offers an effective and discrete approach to emergency lighting
Emergency lights serve one purpose, to let people see in the event of a power failure, often caused by fire. This is a serious requirement so the equipment must be reliable. Many lighting schemes are ruined though by the use of utilitarian emergency bulk heads unsympathetically positioned. At Mike Stoane Lighting they believe emergency lighting should be effective but discrete, and their new Fled fitting is a perfect example of this philosophy.

Fled is a simple 82mm diameter disc containing a single 1w lumiled and a 60° reflector. The 1w Lumiled makes a perfect emergency source; it's long life means that maintenance costs are vastly reduced and in the event of an emergency being let down by a duff lamp is highly unlikely. Although the unit is tiny and discrete, it will light a 3m x 3m x 3m volume to emergency lighting requirements.

Systems can be configured to run in maintained or non maintained mode. The new warm white source is recommended if using in maintained mode. The battery and charge pack (PSU) can supply 1 or 2 units. The slave unit can be several meters away, linked to the PSU using fire sleeved cable.

Other reflectors are available for different ceiling heights and the Fled reflector can also be integrated into other MSL products such as their range of low energy boxlights.
