New products from Steinel include three infra-red sensors, a fast motion detector and a photoelectric lighting controller. These are available with either standard voltage switching or potential free switching ie for 12, 24, 110 volt etc (just add PF to the sensor name ie IS3180PF).Joining the popular IS range of infra-red sensors are the IS 345 corridor sensor, the IS 3180 wall mounted sensor and the IS 3360 ceiling sensor. All of the products feature modular design with a standard first fix element across the range for ease of installation, combined with spacious wiring compartments for ease of access to plug-in terminals.
IS infra-red sensors
The IS 345 is ideal for corridors and passageways and features 2 integrated pyro sensors with a multiple lens system. Mounted at a height of 3m the IS 345 has a detection zone of 12 x 4m (radial) or 20 x 4m (tangential) and has five detection zones and 280 switching zones.
The IS 3180 is a wall mounted sensor with 180 degrees horizontal coverage and 90 degrees vertical coverage. It also features two integrated pyro sensors with a multiple lens system and has two reach settings of 4 – 8m and 8 – 20m. The IS 3180 has seven detection zones and 448 switching zones. Available in Black, White and Inox.
Featuring three integrated pyro sensors with a multiple lens system, the ceiling mounted IS 3360 provides 360 degrees horizontal coverage and 180 degrees vertical coverage. The IS 3360 has 10 detection zones and 1416 switching zones.
All of the new products in the IS range incorporate time settings from five seconds to 15 minutes, twilight settings from two to 2000 lux and selectable 'on' times. They have a maximum output of 2000w for resistive loads and a 1000w limit for uncorrected inductive loads.
Fast motion detection
The HF 3360 is a high frequency sensor for indoor use, providing fast motion detection independently of temperature. It has an infinitely variable reach from 1-8m with 360 degree coverage using a 180 degree aperture. It has a 2000W maximum output for resistive loads such as incandescent lamps and a 1000W maximum output for uncorrected inductive loads such as fluorescent light sources.
Photoelectric lighting control
The NM 5000 is a photoelectric lighting controller ideal for dusk to dawn switching of night-time illumination such as shop and advertising lighting. It features a twilight setting from 0.5 to 100 lux, with a 2000w maximum output for incandescent lamps and 1000W maximum for fluorescent lamps. The NM 5000 is available in white or black finishes.
