The latest range of PIR occupancy switches from lighting control experts CP Electronics has been designed for the automatic control of lighting, heating and ventilation loads. Suitable for use in virtually any application, the PIR switches operate by turning on the load when an area is occupied and turning off the load when the area is vacated. All three models in the range can be supplied with an optional internal light sensor to provide additional energy savings in lighting applications, where the lighting is switched on only when the level of natural light falls below a certain level in an occupied room. The PDS-OV comes with a manual override facility which allows the user to turn lights on and off by simply pressing the lamp symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the front plate. The PDS and PDS-OV units also have a no neutral version for fast fitting and flexible mounting options.
CP Electronics PIR switches can be mounted onto a British Standard switch box for ease of installation and a selectable power up delay, which allows the installer to choose whether the load comes on immediately when the unit is powered up, or if there will be a delay (about 40 seconds) to allow the sensor to settle.
