Bedroom secrets revealed at 'Le Manoir'
Sorry, what we should have said is 'bedroom photography secrets'.
A recent Redshift project for Illuma Lighting took David to Raymond Blanc's stunning restaurant-hotel, 'Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons' in Oxfordshire. A tough assignment, but someone's got to do it!
Ever the professional, on arrival he bypassed the Michelin-starred restaurant and headed straight for the newly refurbished Citronelle Suite.
The challenge on this shoot was to achieve the right balance of detail within the space. Capturing the highlight details of the lighting can often result in other areas of the room appearing indistinct and shadowy. By using HDR (high dynamic range) techniques, David achieved the perfect mix. This, together with the use of a very wide angle lens, ensured that the final images conveyed the desired appearance of detail, spaciousness and unashamed luxury.
The secret of excellent bedroom photography, therefore, is to use an expert.
