David Webster Group Announces Restructuring and Contract Wins

David Webster Limited (DWL) will be exhibiting at Total Lighting in association with ASLEC. Following a recent restructuring of its contracting companies, DWL will be demonstrating the benefits of a comprehensive lighting service incorporating design, installation and maintenance - from the UK's largest group of lighting companies. The restructuring will consolidate the strength of the group and respond to the changing face of the lighting industry.

Currently three business concerns, the Group will become two consolidated companies, with four distinct operational areas.

Weblight & DW Lighting will now come under the umbrella of one company – DW Lighting Management Limited (DWLM) whilst DW Windsor Lighting, designer & manufacturer of exterior lighting solutions will retain it's independent status.

The civil engineering and project management arm of DW Lighting will become a separate operational unit called DW Projects, again under the umbrella of DWLM. This recognition follows the emergence of the civils division of DWL as an industry leader in the installation of communications and lighting infrastructure, developing over the past few years to the situation where turnover is now in excess of £1.0m. DW Projects stand at the forefront of the highway information revolution, being the leading installers, testers and commissioners for all the latest technology used to develop the future of the UK's highways.

DW Lighting are delighted to announce the Leicester City Street Lighting Term Maintenance Contract has been awarded to the company for a further period of 6+ years commencing 1St April 2004. This contract has been secured in a competitive tendering environment against competition from multi-disciplined companies. The award indicates the confidence our client has in the ability of a specialist lighting company to deliver a first class service.

Weblight has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and continues to win major new contracts in the retail and FM sectors. As testimony to its service levels Weblight is now one of the UK's leading maintenance providers and is nearing the £lOm turnover level. It is particularly proud of its blue chip client base of high profile accounts spread throughout the high street. Weblight now employs more than 100 staff operating from 4 locations across the country.
