Energy Saving at Landmark Chambers

Energy Saving at Landmark Chambers
The replacement of existing lamps with Megaman 11W GU10's at Landmark Chambers, close to the Royal Courts of Justice in Londons Fleet Street, has helped to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs. Landmark Chambers environmental policy is one of constant development of energy saving building management and, with this in mind, Megaman lamps have been used to replace the existing halogen lighting system on the second floor of this six story building, covering a floorspace of over 7,500 sq ft and saving approximately £1,500 p.a.

Landmark Chambers is the leading set in planning, environmental, property and public law, comprising of 63 members which includes 18 QCs. The birth of Landmark came when Eldon Chambers and 4 Breams Buildings merged after both struggled to retain and recruit new barristers. The merger created the largest planning team of barristers in the country.

Landmark's facilities manager, Steve Fisher, contacted HSE Lighting & Electrical Services Ltd and asked them to recommend a product that would help Chambers to reduce their environmental footprint and the rising maintenance costs. Megaman CFL 11W GU10's were recommended and found to offer consistent quality both in terms of light output and life expectancy. Steve Fisher commented "We are very happy with the results of the lighting refurbishment for Chambers. The Megaman lamps have created an environment that is more efficient, more reliable and more environmentally friendly".
