Alumni, the higher education sector team from Whitecroft Lighting, has completed the supply of lighting for the new Performing Arts Centre facility for Lincoln University. Working closely with both the client and the professional design team dedicated to the project, alumni were involved at all stages of the design process. In fact, from the initial concept stage, the lighting design, luminaire specification, project management and final commissioning of all of the luminaires used on the £6m new build project. The client's brief called for the lighting design to achieve three main criteria, which were to be sympathetic to the architectural aesthetic, comply with lighting guidelines in areas with computer use and, finally, energy efficiency considerations. The final scheme achieved all these points and the client commented "We are extremely pleased with the end result, getting the lighting right is vital to us and this scheme certainly delivers the ideal solution"For more information about lighting solutions for this and other higher education environments please visit: www.alumnilighting.com
