Flex Connectors have supplied their flex 7 lighting connection equipment for a charity's new resource centre in Glasgow. The charity, Sense Scotland, provides innovative services for children and adults with complex needs arising from deafblindness or sensory impairment, learning or physical disability.Flex 7 first-in-line interconnection units and pre-wired plugs have been installed throughout the unique new TouchBase resource centre, which gained its name following a competition to find a title which reflected the building's multiple uses.
These include the provision of a Children and Family suite, recently launched by Sir Terry Wogan; drop-in resources for adults; music, visual and performing arts spaces; community offices; training and meeting rooms; and a community café due to launch next year.
The centre was designed specifically as a one-stop accessible space, for which the adaptability and versatility of the flex 7 range was particularly suitable. All products use the unique flex 7 seven-pin configuration – which gives maximum flexibility for connection and control – and are 16 amp rated, meaning any component can be plugged into any other to provide total flexibility of installation.
