Hinckley United has unveiled the latest state of the art arena at its 29 acre site, Marston's Stadium Complex in Leicester, which has been floodlit using Venture Lighting Europe's metal halide lamps. The new arena has an all-weather, full size surface and is situated adjacent to the main stadium, providing a fantastic facility for the club and the community. The development has been funded by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and utilises the latest artificial pitch technology.Venture has supplied 32 x High Output MH-TS 2000W/L/K12/4K 2000W, double ended lamps for incorporation into Challenger 1 floodlights from Abacus Lighting, who also installed the luminaires. Venture lamps were chosen by Abacus for the reliability of their performance. Venture's High Output MH-TS 2000W/L/K12/4K 2000W lamps provide an initial lumens figure of 240,000, which is the highest available from any 2kW lamp on the market today. Fast delivery times and excellent quality also played a large part in the specification of Venture products.
There are eight Abacus Challenger 1 floodlights installed on four, 18 metre high masts to provide the 350 Lux required for Conference Standards. Challenger 1 is a double asymmetric distribution floodlight range with a triple stepped reflector that features Flat Glass Technology. All aspects of its design have been considered to ensure maximum performance and practicality, whilst paying particular attention to light pollution control. The IP66 enclosure has silicone rubber gaskets to assure jet proof and dust-tight protection which, in turn, provides lower maintenance costs and prolongs product life.
