Ex-Or, European leader in lighting management, has announced record sales for its innovative lighting controls and systems which are now exported all over the world.
Annual turnover for Ex-Or Holdings Ltd, which encompasses the manufacturing and sales operations, has exceeded £4.5 million for the first time. It follows a 30 per cent year-on-year sales growth achieved over the past three years.
Its concentration on the very large refurbishment and newbuild projects, the development of new product ranges and the opening up of new export markets have all contributed to Ex-Or's sales success.
Recent prestigious refurbishment and newbuild contracts have included headquarters buildings for Yorkshire Water, Harlow Council, Nationwide and Northampton Borough Council.
Said Ex-Or managing director Neil Jones: "We design and manufacture all our products to ensure reliability and guarantee of supply, and we also have a skilled in-house installations team that operates nationally. Add that to our 20 years' experience in lighting control, and choosing Ex-Or becomes a compelling proposition for a growing number of blue chip organisations looking to save energy costs and manage their lighting more efficiently."
Ex-Or currently employs 40 people at its Haydock headquarters and neighbouring state-of-the-art electronics plant.
As well as exporting to Europe it has developed new export markets, including Australia, India and the Middle and Far East. Increasingly, Ex-Or manufactures controls and systems on an OEM basis for many of the European lighting industry's most well-known names.
Controls and lighting management systems from Ex-Or that are principally designed to reduce energy costs and deliver optimum levels of lighting include: LightSpot presence detection controls, which automatically turn lights off when they are not needed; and the MLS Digital Managed Lighting System which provides communicating managed lighting for offices. It has gone on to develop systems to meet every lighting control and management need. These include FailSafe (emergency lighting testing systems), SceneSelect II (scene-setting and dimming systems) and MLS CONNECT Digital (quick connection system).
