Universal Fibre Optics supplied and fitted down-lighting and step lighting for a large yacht during its recent refit in the mediterranean.Lighting design was by Lighting Design International. UFO 11D and UFO 13D fittings were used for the down-lighting in conjunction with 7.5mm glass fibre.
Special brass fittings were used to light internal steps on the yacht with 1.8mm glass fibre. External steps were lit using special stainless steel pavers and 4mm glass fibre. UFO Aurora 100W halogen light sources were used throughout.
Fibre optics gave an ideal low maintenence solution with the inherent safety of having no electricity
in wet areas.
