W.A.C. Lighting Celebrates 20th Anniversary with a Renewed Commitment to Product, Value and Service

Garden City, New York --- Planning to celebrate W.A.C. Lighting's 20th anniversary, the firm's President and COO Richard Kurtz stated that 2004 will be a very special year in its history. "A renewed commitment to introducing a wide selection of product and value to a broader segment of the lighting market, as well as providing excellent service to our dealers, will be the hallmark of our mission and strategy in 2004," Mr. Kurtz explained.

"The addition of key executives and staff in the areas of design, development, sales and marketing, together with other infrastructure changes completed in 2003, will become evident in our anniversary year," continued Mr. Kurtz. "Our plans include introducing more new products than the company has ever released in any one-year period, as well as new literature, new graphics and a new responsibility toward providing our customers with greater value and service."

Founded in 1984 by Tony Wang and his wife Tai, W.A.C. Lighting has grown into the industry's premier manufacturer of track, recessed and undercabinet lighting. It was built around a strong management team and loyal customer service. Mr. Wang continues to oversee operations as Chairman and CEO.

Over the years, the firm increased its size and staff to meet the growing customer base. As the product line expanded, W.A.C Lighting developed a stellar reputation for high-quality products backed by innovative design and technology: five track systems, including a 2-circuit Track System and a 12v/24v linear system; metal halide fixtures, compact fluorescent wall washer track heads, recessed housings and trims, miniature and flexible fixtures; surface mounts; pendants; button lights; display lights; and accessories.

For 2004, W.A.C. Lighting is planning an extensive lineup of product releases for the residential, commercial and specification markets. In January, the firm will introduce a comprehensive downlighting line, a line voltage flexible track system, wall sconces, and an architechtural decorative fixture collection. Additionally, there will be significant additions to W.A.C.'s extensive track, low-voltage and decorative product lines. This ambitious product introduction is just the first of many product releases planned for 2004.

A new catalog is in production (as well as mini versions for dealers' customers), as is a new, revised CD-based catalog suitable for either PC or MAC operating systems. Other new product literature will be distributed in conjunction with additional product releases, throughout the year. The firm has also upgraded its website (www.waclighting.com), which includes a full on-line catalog, complete specifications and design ideas to help dealers' customers make purchasing decisions. Dealers will soon have the ability to use their password in a secured area of the website to access information on pricing, inventory and shipping status. The firm will continue to offer point-of-purchase displays for lighting showrooms.

"To help lighting showrooms grow their businesses," continues Mr. Kurtz, "We have greatly expanded our product development team to bring together some of the finest designers, engineers and resources available. Our new lines will supplement our customers' task and accent lighting lines, and enable them to expand into new markets."

Last year, lighting showrooms responded very favourably to W.A.C. Lighting's latest innovations, which included a low voltage Monorail system, the QuickConnect series of pendants and accessories, and a line of Glass Companion Wall Sconces and Counter Balance Adjustables, together with Mono and Multi-points.

The firm has also recently expanded manufacturing capabilities, product development and engineering in its company owned, recently expanded ISO 9001-certified, manufacturing facilities and offers in China. It has also expanded and relocated its west coast distribution center and offices to 168 Brea Canyon Road, in City of Industry, California. In addition, W.A.C. Lighting has recently completed implementation of the new, state-of-the-art SAP computer software system to bolster operations management and customer service.
