Thorn Lighting have announced plans to strengthen it's representation in the Finnish lighting market by appointing Alppilux Oy to distribute it's world–renowned luminaire range.
The agreement covers Thorn's comprehensive product portfolio, excluding airfield and OEM luminaires, and ensures that existing and new customers will receive the best possible combination of customer support and lighting performance.
Alppilux is an established, privately owned, company with a team of 51 employees serving wholesalers, and building engineering contractors via a 9,200m2 distribution centre located in Lohja, near Helsinki. To help the business thrive and grow, Thorn International Sales, based in the UK, will provide lighting design expertise and other types of support, including brand management advice.
Commenting on the announcement, Ian Killick, International Sales Manager of Thorn said: "I'm delighted with the new partnership. Alppilux's skilled and extensive logistic resources, as well as its ability to custom product for Finnish installation procedures, make it an ideal partner for Thorn.
