Ex-Or, the lighting controls company recently acquired by Honeywell, has announced a significant strengthening of its team of project engineers in the Midlands region. The restructuring follows a considerable increase in the number of contracts awarded to Ex-Or for its energy-saving lighting management and control systems in both newbuild and refurbishment projects throughout the Midlands region.
Robert Powell, who joined Ex-Or as a project engineer seven years ago, has been promoted to the position of Midlands sales manager and will lead the team. Project engineer Karl Hardman, who has been with Ex-Or since 2004, has joined the team. The third team member is Stuart Whitehouse, who has recently been appointed by Ex-Or. He was formerly northern regional manager for Tyco Electronics.
The team will replace a familiar figure with companies and organisations in the Midlands: Roger Burton, who covered the region for Ex-Or for the past nine years, retired in May.
Said Robert Powell: "Energy management is rapidly moving up the agenda for organisations in the public and private sectors who are anxious to reduce their carbon footprint and cut energy costs. In the Midlands region in particular many are turning to Ex-Or for help.
"To a great extent this has been due to the hard work put in by Roger over the years. The new team will build on the successful foundations that Roger has put in place and will provide even higher levels of sales support to current and future Ex-Or clients."
