Peter W. Shackle appointed Chief Technology Officer at Lightech Worldwide

Lightech Inaugurates Second Engineering Department in Greater Los Angeles

In January 2008, Peter W. Shackle, PhD, assumed the position as Chief Technology Officer of Lightech. Shackle will boost the company's engineering expertise and oversee its technological direction.

Shackle was most recently V.P. of Advanced Technology at Fulham Co., Inc., and prior thereto V. P. of Advanced Technology at Universal Lighting Technologies (ULT). He has also served as Chief Technologist for Energy Savings.

Shackle holds 51 granted patents and has authored eight publications. He has designed over 200 different electronic power supplies. Many of his recent designs include advanced microprocessor technology for lighting electronics.

Peter earned a doctorate from the University of Cambridge in the UK and is a senior member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc).
