Zumtobel acquires Multilux, based in Budapest

Zumtobel is to acquire its former Hungarian sales partner Multilux, based in Budapest, with effect from 1 October 2007. This new Zumtobel sales company will function as a hub for building the brand's presence in the Hungarian market. The Managing Director of the new subsidiary will be Dietmar Zojer, who is already Managing Director of Zumtobel Licht GmbH based in Vienna and its branches in Prague and Laibach.

Dietmar Zojer, Managing Director of Zumtobel Licht GmbH, Vienna, commenting on the acquisition:

Customer service at first hand

With its own consulting centre in Budapest Zumtobel can – with immediate effect – deliver a comprehensive customer service, laying the foundations for integrated project solutions. Lighting solutions consultants can provide information to customers in training sessions and special events with the focus on new products and applications in the industry, office and education sectors as well as retail and presentation. This customer service is supplemented by a wide range of personalised services including support in planning, implementation and maintenance.

From the new sales and consulting centre in Budapest, under the leadership of Istvan Fodor and Rudolf Staricky, the brand plans to grow its activities in the Hungarian market intensively. All former Multilux employees will be integrated within Zumtobel.
